NCC - one of the leading companies in the Nordics

Are you a recent graduate with a degree in sustainability? Or do you have a few years of experience analyzing sustainability data, sustainability reporting, and are looking for the next challenge? Additionally, if you are a relationship builder with the desire and interest to drive change and development, NCC Industry offers an exciting role as a Junior Engineer/Controller with a sustainability profile. Here, you have great opportunities to develop both within the field of sustainability and personally, while helping us make data-driven decisions, navigate the green transition, and achieve our goal of being climate neutral by 2045.

The rapid changes in the sustainability landscape place high demands on us to measure, report, follow up, and document. This requires that our sustainability work is digitized. We are currently on a digitalization journey where you will be involved from a sustainability perspective.

With curiosity, creativity, and a structured approach, you will be an important asset to us at NCC.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collection and analysis of sustainability-related data.
  • Reporting according to CSRD and the EU taxonomy.
  • Monitoring sustainability goals and developing methods and processes.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders within NCC, suppliers, and customers.

You will be the core for sustainability reporting for us at NCC Industry and will have a wide network of contacts both within the business area, divisions Stone Materials and Asphalt, as well as across the group with corresponding roles from other business areas within the NCC Group.

About the team

NCC Industry is a Nordic Organization that focuses on industrial production – stone material, asphalt, foundation work and recycling of construction materials. We are a proactive partner with combined expertise in manufacturing and contracting with a strong focus on sustainable solutions.

You are part of NCC Industry’s Nordic finance department and work closely with the Head of Sustainability, to whom you also report. You also collaborate closely with other staff functions in both the stone and asphalt operations. At NCC, there is a large network of colleagues working with sustainability in our other business areas: Building, Infrastructure, Property Development, and Green Industry Transformation.

Your experience and background

You have an engineering- or a master’s degree within sustainability, or possibly an economic degree with a focus on sustainability. Alternatively, you have few years of experience in sustainability reporting, climate emissions reporting (GHG protocol), or life cycle analysis. Additionally, experience with CSRD, the EU taxonomy, ESG, environmental product declarations, or ISO 14001 is a big plus.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, who is solution-oriented and is socially skilled. You quickly absorb information, enjoy working in a changing environment and contributing to development. To be successful in this role we also see that you need to have a flexible approach and the ability to drive your work independently.

Since the role has multiple points of contact, it is important that you have excellent collaboration skills and that building professional relationships comes naturally to you.

It is key that you are fluent in one of the Nordic languages as well as in English, both spoken and in writing.
