Axelsberg, Helsinki
NCC has started to plan for Axelsberg, a new office space in the urban culture hub of Helsinki – the Konepaja district. The district connects Teollisuuskatu to Konepaja, it is located near the city center and thereby easily accessible by public transport, bike, car, or even by foot.
Axelsberg will have a central role, both as a landmark and as a meeting place for new developments on Teollisuuskatu, linking the head offices in Vallila, the creative industries of Konepaja and other neighbouring businesses together.
Axelsberg in short

The Konepaja district
The Konepaja district is often described as Helsinki’s new center of urban culture or as Helsinki’s living room. The area is known for its restaurants, outdoor bars, events, and art. Historically it has played an important role in the Finnish industrialization and it remains at the forefront of growth as it is the home of several new and growing businesses.
Developing three floors of office space
Our ambition with the Axelsberg block is to add diversity to the current environment of the Konepaja area as it will offer a variety of service and facilities for both residents and employees in the area.
The office spaces at Axelsberg will be located on three floors divided in two buildings with a bridge connecting the houses. The maximum floor area is 2,900 square meters and the office spaces is currently ranging from 200 up to 7,300 square meters.
Built responsibly
Axelsberg is pursuing the BREEAM Excellent certification for sustainability. The development of the block involves research into low-carbon materials, it is designed for the class A energy rating, and will have solar panels on the roof.
