Haga Norra is a growing city neighborhood in northern Stockholm and Kvarter 5 is the next phase of developing the area.

“We look forward to developing further residential units in Haga Norra together with NCC. Residential units are an important parameter of our vision for the area, which aims to create a vibrant and attractive city neighborhood,” says Klas Holmgren, Director of Projects and Development of Fabege.

NCC has been commissioned to construct 210 tenant-owned apartments and 75 rental apartments, which will be distributed across a connected block with a shared inner courtyard and an underground garage. The apartments will range from studios to five-bedroom units including balconies or terraces.

The apartments will be environmentally certified in accordance with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and will have low energy consumption, thereby facilitating low operating and maintenance expenses.

“We have collaborated with Fabege on many projects in the past few years and are now looking forward to the first residential housing project with Birger Bostad. We have focused on the project’s climate footprint during the project planning phase by reviewing the possibility of using recycled bricks and eco-friendly concrete. The apartments will also be environmentally certified according to the Nordic Swan Ecolabel,” says Henrik Landelius, Head of NCC Building Sweden.

Construction will commence in the first quarter of 2024 and is scheduled to continue until the end of 2026. The assignment, worth about SEK 450 million, will be registered among orders during the fourth quarter of 2023 in the NCC Building Sweden business area.
