The business will be transferred on April 1, 2019, when RGS Nordic will take over NCC Industry’s operations at Energivej in Odense and the reception facility for soil on Lindø. Moreover, RGS Nordic will acquire four employees who are responsible for receiving, processing and recycling waste at NCC.

“The sale will allow us to focus more on strengthening our three core areas at NCC Industry in Denmark: stone material, our asphalt production and asphalt paving and our foundation engineering. We are very satisfied with the transaction and are pleased to be able to transfer Recycling to a professional market player,” says Michael Hansen, Head of NCC Industry in Denmark.

Following the sale, NCC Industry in Denmark consists of the Asphalt, Stone Materials and Hercules Foundation operating areas, which will work proactively in the future to reduce the industry’s climate impact and to drive the development av eco-friendly solutions. The focus is also on reusing materials in the production of new asphalt.

Danish-owned RGS Nordic is a specialist in the remediation of contaminated soil, industrial effluents and in recycling construction and civil engineering waste. The company has approximately 250 employees and operates more than 35 reception and processing facilities in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

The transaction will have a marginally positive earnings impact on the first quarter of 2019 in the NCC Industry business area.
