NCC signs additional asphalt contracts in Norway for approximately SEK 750 million
NCC has signed another 14 asphalt contracts with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (SVV) and regions in Norway. The term of the contracts is one year, and the total order value is approximately SEK 750 million.
“We have secured half of all the state asphalt contracts in Norway ahead of the coming season, 19 overall, for a total value of about SEK 1 billion. This shows clearly that we are a key player in the Nordic market and that we have a competitive offering,” says Grete Aspelund, Head of NCC Industry.
NCC has been working systematically and purposefully for many years to identify production solutions that will help to reduce CO₂ emissions. Initiatives have included the use of wood pellets as an energy source in asphalt plants, biogenic binding agents and significant use of reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP).
All contracts signed to date this year include environmental weighting criteria of 30 percent, which is a legal requirement in Norway, and the contracts stipulate the provision of environmental product declarations (EPDs).
The contracts refer to the following areas:
- SVV Øvre Buskerud
- SVV Nedre Buskerud
- SVV Møre og Romsdal Riksveger
- SVV Trøndelag Nord-Riksveger
- SVV Trøndelag Sør-Riksveger
- Agder FK Agder Øst
- Agder FK Agder midt
- Akershus FK Forsterkning og asfaltering
- Vestland FK Vegforsterkning Vestland 2025

- Telemark FK Telemark Fylkeskommune
- Møre og Romsdal FK Fylkesveger Sunnmøre

- Vestland FK Voss, Hardanger og Sunnhordland
All contracts will commence in the spring and conclude in the autumn.
The total order value of about SEK 750 million will be registered in the NCC Industry business area in the second quarter of 2025.
