NCC continue to support children and young adults with homework help
NCC wants to contribute to promoting learning and education among children and young people. In 2022, we continue to support organizations in the Nordic countries that help children and young adults get the most out of their education.
“NCC is a knowledge-based company and in need of talented employees. We also know that access to education provides people with choices and therefor continue to support organizations that offer children and young adults homework help, enabling more students to get the most out of their education. It also lays the foundation for further studies and a better future, says Tomas Carlsson, CEO and president NCC.
This year’s donation of SEK 1,5 million is divided equally between the Nordic countries. The donation in Denmark, Finland and Norway will go to the Red Cross Homework Help, supporting school children who do not have access to homework help at home. In Sweden the donation will go to Mattecentrum, which provides free support to help improve and stimulate student's knowledge and interest in math, both online and offline.
"In our local Red Cross departments across the country, both children and adults get help with their homework from volunteers. It helps to strengthen their opportunities for education and work. There are many children who need that kind of help, and therefore we are very pleased that for the second year in a row we are receiving NCC's Christmas donation, which gives us the opportunity to help even more," says Niels Svankjær Christiansen, section manager integration, Red Cross in Denmark.
