NCC cited a Diversity Leader again
The Financial Times and market research company Statista have once again cited NCC as one of Europe’s Diversity Leaders 2025. The award is included in the sixth annual list of Europe’s Diversity Leaders featuring companies that actively promote diversity and inclusion in their operations.
More than 100,000 employees across Europe were interviewed and the results were compiled in the FT-Statista Diversity Leaders report. NCC was awarded third place in the construction sector in Europe, and ranked 204 of the 850 eligible companies featured in the list.
NCC has been working purposefully with diversity and inclusion for a long time. Marie Reifeldt, Head of Human Resources at NCC, explains how this work is carried out and why the issue is important for a competitive company.
“To continue growing and to achieve success, NCC needs the most skilled and experienced employees in the industry. It is important, therefore, to be an attractive choice for all target groups with the skills required by NCC. We therefore work actively to ensure that no-one is excluded on unfair grounds or due to unconscious prejudices,” says Marie Reifeldt, Head of Human Resources at NCC.
NCC works consistently to promote diversity and inclusion within the Group. In Sweden, NCC became a member of Diversity Charter Sweden as of this year and, for over 25 years, NCC’s women’s network, Stella, has provided a forum for women in production to exchange experience, develop in their role and ultimately step into senior positions at NCC. In Norway, NCC is a partner in the Diversitas network, the leading network in the industry for the promotion of diversity and equality.
Efforts to promote diversity and inclusion are needed at all levels of the company. NCC has a completely equal Senior Management Team with 50 percent women and 50 percent men. At management team level, 35 percent are women and among the company’s white-collar employees, who make up half of all employees, about 30 percent are women. Only 3 percent of the company’s skilled workers are women.
“It is gratifying that NCC has once again been recognized as a leading organization in diversity. We see this as confirmation that our commitment to recruiting and developing the people with the best skills is delivering results, which is part of realizing NCC’s strategic focus and long-term targets. But there is still a lot of work to be done,” says Marie Reifeldt.
