We Land office building completed in Helsinki's Ruoholahti district

We Land represents a new type of office building, carefully designed to accommodate hybrid working. The newly completed building has recently welcomed tenants Kalmar, Deloitte, and Hiab, with Helen scheduled to move in next year. ISS's lunch restaurant, Kasi, is now open to the public, and the top-floor fine dining restaurant with panoramic views will open later this fall.

We Land – a unique piece of office architecture

The Helsinki district of Ruoholahti’s maritime location and its history inspired architect Juha Mäki-Jyllilä when he started designing the We Land office building in 2018: “From the start, our aim was architecture that suits its surrounding urban setting dominated by large buildings, but gives it a new, fresh look.”

I switched my job and country – but without leaving NCC

I seized the opportunity, turned my job into an adventure and swapped Finland for Gothenburg. It’s not all been plain sailing – there have been some challenges with the language, culture and colleagues. But I haven’t regretted a single day since I grabbed this unique opportunity.

I learn something new – every day

After studying for five years in Uppsala, my interest in sustainability was my way into NCC. After working with EPD mapping for a year, I’ve been a Supervisor at NCC Stenmaterial in Gävleborg since August 2022. And at the turn of the year, I’ll be taking over as Site Manager in Dalarna. What a journey it’s been!

We Land: a unique new office building coming to Helsinki's Ruoholahti district, in step with changing needs and times

What if you heard that in the Ruoholahti district of Helsinki, there was a new site being built that was unmatched anywhere else in Finland ‒ a veritable queen of office spaces? The We Land building, developed by the construction firm NCC, will offer a unique working environment and range of services not seen anywhere else in the country, with a commitment to sustainability that draws in tenants and investors alike.
