NCC signs SEK 2.5 billion agreement as part of Västerås hospital project

NCC has agreed to start production of the third sub-project in Region Västmanland’s new emergency hospital in Västerås. The sub-project includes shell completion and installations, and will be carried out in partnership with Region Västmanland. The order value is approximately SEK 2.5 billion.

NCC to continue work on SSAB’s new facility in Oxelösund

NCC is constructing a new industrial building for fossil-free steelmaking in Oxelösund on behalf of SSAB. The project is now entering the next production phase valued at approximately SEK 400 million.

NCC to upgrade water and wastewater network in Ale Municipality

On behalf of Ale Municipality, NCC is to upgrade the water and wastewater network and secure the supply of drinking water in Ale, north of Gothenburg, Sweden. The project is a turnkey contract in partnering form with an order value of approximately SEK 450 million.  

NCC to refurbish 184 rental apartments in Taastrup, Denmark

NCC will refurbish 184 rental apartments for KAB and the housing company AKB Taastrup in the Taastrupgaard residential district east of Copenhagen. The assignment is the first phase of a comprehensive refurbishment plan for the district. The order value is approximately SEK 400 million.

NCC to build new production premises for BAE Systems Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden

NCC has signed an agreement with BAE Systems Hägglunds to build new production premises in Örnsköldsvik. The project is a turnkey contract in partnering form with an order value of approximately SEK 560 million.

A headquarters district of international standard to be built in Ruoholahti combining the environment with service culture in an entirely new way

Deloitte will bring its Finnish headquarters and over 700 employees to the We Land building to be completed in the K. A. Fagerholm Square in the Ruoholahti district of Helsinki in 2022. The target set for We Land, a concept developed by NCC, is to upgrade the Ruoholahti district into one of Helsinki’s most attractive areas. The building is designed to meet the exceptionally high BREEAM rating of Outstanding.

NCC has partnered up with CHAOS to be on pulse of the Ruoholahti residents, frequent area users, and workers to build the most sustainable and innovative business and co-creation hub in Helsinki – We Land. CHAOS supports project’s digitalisation by bringing forward demographics, and citizens’ sentiments.

Breakthrough in the spectacular project Eysturoy Tunnel on the Faroe Islands

On Friday 7 June, NCC celebrated its breakthrough in the sub-sea Eysturoy Tunnel’s 11.2 km long main branch which, on completion, will cut journey times to the capital Tórshavn from many locations on the Faroe Islands.

NCC dedicates week to health and safety

Starting today, NCC arranges Health and Safety Week for its fourth consecutive year. During the week, each of NCC’s more than 3,000 projects around the Nordics will dedicate time to help strengthen the health and safety culture at our worksites and workplaces.

NCC becoming increasingly equal

Today is International Women’s Day, and the trend at NCC is toward a more equal company. If the shareholders vote “yes” at the Annual General Meeting, both the Executive Team and the Board of Directors will be completely equal. NCC’s management teams are 40 percent women and 60 percent men, but in total the company is 86 percent men.
