Contracting operations
In Sweden, Hercules organizes and conducts contracting operations in the North, South and Stockholm regions. In Norway, we operate through the subsidiary HERCULES Fundamentering AS and, in Denmark, through the subsidiary HERCULES Fundering AS.
The regions offer most foundation laying methods: driven and drilled pilings of concrete, steel or wood, and sheet piling and other supporting structures.
Hercules offers expertise in geotechnical engineering and geo construction through the Innovation & Design (I&D) unit.
Manufacture
Hercules manufactures concrete pilings and has extensive operations in sheet piling. Our two piling factories are located in Västerås and Ucklum.
History
HERCULES Grundläggning AB was founded in 1988 through a merger of Göteborgs Betongpålar, founded in 1960, and BINAB, formed in 1973 but whose history goes all the way back to 1875, when the company Nya Asfalt was founded.
BINAB was the result of a merger between the foundation operations in Nya Asfalt and Granit & Beton, a subsidiary of Svenska Väg.
At the end of the 1980s, BINAB included Scanpile, Banut and Norfund AS in Norway and Herkules Piling Ltd in the UK.
